Belarusian esports federation opens access to international teams at META’20 national championship

The main esports competitions in the republic receive a new Open format and now are accessible for participation to any international teams. The final part of the competition will be held online.

The Federation noted that the changing of the format is a logical step for Belarusian esports to enter the international level. META’20.Open will be aimed at TIER-2 and TIER-3 players, where they will be able to gain new experience in playing with foreign teams in an online format.

We invite any international teams that need both game practice and a stable prize fund to participate in the qualifying competitions,” - said Denis Bogush, chairman of the Belarusian esports federation. - “The final of the META Championship is consistently included in the list of tournaments at HLTV.org, and the participants are awarded points of the most respected rating in the world.

The first META’20.Open will be held on CS:GO and will begin with open qualifiers. Anyone from anywhere in the world can take part in the qualifications, the main thing is to have access to the Internet. The first qualifications will start on March 3, the second — on March 10. The two best teams from each stage will compete for a prize pool of $1,500. The final stage of the tournament will be held on March 15 (Sunday) online.
